Maryland Man Wins $31K Lottery After Gym Workout

On October 7, a Maryland man had an unexpected windfall shortly after finishing a workout at the gym. While returning home, he made a quick detour to a 7-Eleven convenience store on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie, where fortune awaited him in the form of a $31,118.30 prize from the Maryland Lottery’s Racetrax virtual horse racing game.

The winner, who hails from Calvert County, shared his excitement with Maryland Lottery officials. After completing his rigorous gym session, he felt inspired to purchase some lottery tickets. Little did he know, this impulsive decision would lead to a significant payday.

At the 7-Eleven, he placed a Superfecta Box bet on the numbers 9, 7, 11, and 12. His selection proved to be a smart one when the race concluded on August 29 with the winning numbers being 7, 9, 11, and 12.

“I almost hit it straight. That would have given me over $200,000,” he remarked, reflecting on how close he came to winning an even larger prize.

This man has a strategy; he has been utilizing the same set of numbers for years, and this time, his consistency paid off. With his newfound earnings, he plans to allocate the money towards settling some bills and treating his family to a well-deserved vacation.

Such stories of individuals striking it lucky in the lottery serve as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of life and how a single decision can change everything. While the profit from his humble lottery ticket may seem like a stroke of luck, this Maryland man’s story is a testament to both his dedication in the gym and his unwavering trust in his tried-and-true numbers.Fitness & Wellness
