Smucker’s Uncrustables Introduce Higher Protein Sandwich

Uncrustables, the beloved frozen sandwich brand from Smucker’s, has recently introduced a new variant that promises a boost in protein content. A staple for many parents, these sandwiches offer a hassle-free lunch option for children or a quick snack for anyone on the go, requiring no preparation or cooking.

The new addition, named Uncrustables Bright-Eyed Berry, features a filling of peanut butter and strawberry jam, all while encased in their signature soft bread. Notably larger than the classic version, the Bright-Eyed Berry sandwich contains 12 grams of protein, making it a wholesome choice for busy families. For comparison, the traditional Strawberry Jam Uncrustables weighs 58 grams and has only 6 grams of protein, while the new offering tips the scales at 80 grams.

Uncrustables’ selection is quite diverse. Alongside the popular Peanut Butter & Strawberry Jam and Grape Jelly varieties, which even include reduced sugar versions, the lineup boasts flavors such as Peanut Butter & Raspberry Spread, Peanut Butter & Mixed Berry Spread, Peanut Butter & Chocolate Flavored Hazelnut Spread, Peanut Butter & Honey, and pure Peanut Butter. Recently, they also unveiled a seasonal flavor, Up & Apple, which combines peanut butter with apple cinnamon jelly, perfect for the fall.

The release of this higher protein sandwich has excited many consumers. Social media reactions are overwhelmingly positive, with comments like “Need it”, “yessss”, “take my money”, and “my day just got better” flooding in. Fans of the brand have shared their initial impressions with overwhelming enthusiasm. One excited customer remarked, “Perfect for mornings when I’m rushing out the door or need an afternoon pick-me-up. Definitely adding this to my snack rotation. The strawberry jam tastes fresh, while the peanut butter gives it a smooth, nutty touch.”

Another delighted patron stated, “You can never go wrong with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I was excited to try this bright-eyed berry flavor. The combination of strawberry and peanut butter is perfect with the right amount of sweetness to my taste. The bread is soft and moist. I love that the filling is full and the sandwich has 12 grams of protein. This is a quick and convenient choice for breakfast, on the go, or adding to the lunch box.”

While some consumers have expressed a desire for even higher protein content, experts note that for a sandwich primarily targeted at children, 12 grams represents a significant improvement over the original 6 grams. It’s important to consider that due to the increase in size to accommodate the added protein, the calorie count is also higher.

The branding and product innovations from Smucker’s indicate a keen awareness of current dietary trends and consumer demands, particularly among health-conscious families. As the food industry continues to respond to the pressures of nutritional standards and snack convenience, Uncrustables has positioned itself as a favorable option that balances taste and nutrition.

With this latest release, Smucker’s aims to allure not just kids, but parents seeking a nutritious yet convenient meal solution. The Bright-Eyed Berry variant is set to expand the appeal of Uncrustables, ensuring this iconic snack brand remains relevant in the crowded marketplace of child-friendly food options. In an always-busy world, the new Uncrustables offer a blend of quality and convenience that fits the needs of modern families.

As we approach the back-to-school season, the Uncrustables Bright-Eyed Berry is likely to become a favorite in lunch boxes nationwide, providing not only protein but also the ease parents crave when it comes to feeding their children midst their hectic schedules.
