It’s often a challenge when asked about my favorite dining spots; recalling the many incredible meals I’ve enjoyed is no easy feat. As someone immersed in the culinary world, the sheer volume of experiences can be overwhelming. To simplify things, I’ve compiled a definitive guide to must-visit eateries in the Sonoma Valley, Healdsburg, and along the coast—all showcasing the diverse flavors and culinary talent in the area.

Sonoma Valley Highlights

Valley Bar + Bottle

Valley Bar + Bottle is a lively restaurant, wine bar, and bottle shop that invites diners to embrace the delightful enigma of its menu. There are no long explanations here; rather, every selection is a good choice. Open for both dinner and brunch, it offers a variety of unique, small-production wines. Valley Swim Club

Focused on casual dining, Valley Swim Club is a walk-in only establishment that features an array of seafood, salads, and hearty offerings like smashburgers and milkshakes. Their drink menu boasts refreshing porch pounders and exceptional natural wines, including Le Lube from the Valley team. Enclos

Since its opening in January, Enclos has impressively earned two Michelin stars in under six months. The 11-course tasting menu honors local flora and fauna with stunning presentations, such as venison on a foraged deer antler and delightful ice cream sandwiches. Poppy

This newest addition to The Girl & The Fig’s family highlights the beauty of French countryside cuisine, emphasizing seasonal ingredients and classic techniques. Glen Ellen Star

This charming café is a favorite among critics, known for Chef Ari Weiswasser’s wood-fired dishes which showcase peak ingredients sourced from nearby farms. PizzaLeah
